Overview

Access this screen through 'Content' from the main menu

This screen is intended to act as a site explorer for your site. In the same way that Windows Explorer displays your computers files in an orderly hierarchical fashion, this screen tries to mimic this behaviour.

There are 5 columns across the top (Site, Category, Sub Category, Type and Options). The first three columns (Site, Category & Sub Category) describe the content & the layout of your site in a hierarchical fashion. Even though there are no folders created in your site, Clear-Site gives the impression that there are and this helps break down your site into sub-sections. Clicking on any of the blue text links will bring up the proberties for that page.

Take the 'Education' entry under the 'Site' column. You'll see that this has a number of categories hanging off of it. These are child nodes which will not be seen from 'Smart-Menu' until the user in the public section selects 'Education'. You'll see that one of these child nodes (Further Education) has itself got a child node (Courses).

The fourth column is 'Type'. This describes the type of page that this content is. Clear-Site allows for 5 different Types. These are Base, Content List, Messageboard, Guestbook & Poll List. For more information on the Types check out the 'What is a' section of this help file.

The 'Options' column is sub-divided into 3 columns.

The blue arrows allow the admin to move a node up or down in a list. For example, clicking on the up arrow for 'Messageboard' would promote this to be above 'Village Notes'. Clicking on the down arrow for 'Tidy Towns' will move this to below 'Gallery'  If you move a node that has child nodes, the child nodes will stay with the parent wherever they move to. Moving nodes up and down is only applicable if you have 'Smart-Menu' enabled on the 'Style' screen.

The magnifying glass in the right most column is used to show you this page as it currently stands in the public section.
