Overview

Access this screen by clicking on 'Style' on the main menu.

This screen presents allows the admin alter the look & feel of their site for the public section. There are a number of fields & settings for the admin to tweak here to alter their website. These are detailsed below

Site Title Details

Site Title:
This is the text that will appear in the header portion of your pages if you choose not to use a header image. The Font Size attribute to the right governs what size the font should be. Even if you do use a header image, this text will be the title of all pages in the public section so it will be used by search engines. Click here for an example.

Site Sub-Title:
This is an optional text field that can be used as a sub-title for your site if you choose not to use a header image. You can select the size of the sib-title through the drop down font size box. Click here for an example.

Colours Fonts & Styles

Select Font:
Select the font you want for your Site Title & Site Sub-Title. See here for an example (This font is Verdana)

Colours:
These are the colours that will make up your header and side bar including the text if you don't use a side image, header image and choose to use Smart-Menu. The Primary Colour is the main header & side background colour. The Secondary Colour is the background colour for the menu items if you choose to use Smart Menu. The Highlighted Colour is the background colour that a menu item will become when a mouse is hovered over it if you choose to have Smart-Menu & highlighting enabled. The text colour is the colour of the text on the header & menu items. See here for an example. 

Blended:
Clear-Site allows for certain elements of the public pages to be blended or fade away to white. The elements can be blended are the page header, shortcut header & Smart-Menu trailer. You should note that if you use a header image, it will not be blended. See here for an example.

Enable Highlighting:
This feature allows for the menu items on Smart-Menu be highlighted once the mouse hovers over them. See here for an example.

Images

Use Header Image:
If you want the header/banner image to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Use Side Image:
If you want the side image to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Use Content Background Image:
If you want the content background image to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Use Page Background Image:
If you want the page background image to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Misc

Show Breadcrumbs:
Breadcrumbs are a means of navigation on the public site. If you want the breadcrumbs to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Show Smart-Menu:
Smart-Menu is an integrated menu builder within Clear-Site. If you don't wish to create & maintain your own menu system, this feature can be useful. If you want the Smart-Menu to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Show Hitcount:
Clear-Site gives you the option to display the hitcount on the bottom of your homepage. It will only work for the homepage. If you want the hitcount to be displayed, do so from this box. Click here for an example.

Clicking on the Preview link at the bottom of the page will show you what your pages will look like without actually committing any changes to the database.

Below is a full list of the style parameters & their constraints.
Field Mandatory Constraints Description
Site Title Y Text Field between 1 & 40 characters.  Title of the site. Should most likely be your business or organisation name.

Site Sub-Title

N Text Field between 1 & 30 characters.  Sub-Title for your site.
Font Y Must be one of the valid fonts from the drop down list System font to be used by the title text & sub-title text
Primary Colour Y Must be valid colour from pallette Background colour for header & menu sections of the page
Secondary Colour Y Must be valid colour from pallette Background colour for menu options on Smart-Menu
Highlighted Colour Y Must be valid colour from pallette Background colour for menu options on Smart-Menu when mouse passes over
Font Colour Y Must be valid colour from pallette Text colour for header text & menu options
Blended NA True or False Dictates whether blended mode is to be used or not
Enable Highlighting NA True or False Dictates whether highlighting is to be used or not
Use Header Image NA True or False Dictates whether system uses a header image or not
Use Side Image NA True or False Dictates whether system uses a side image or not
Use Background Image NA True or False Dictates whether system uses a background image or not
Use Page Background Image NA True or False Dictates whether system uses a page background image or not
Show Breadcrumbs NA True or False Dictates whether system uses  breadcrumbs or not
Show Smart-Menu NA True or False Dictates whether system uses Smart-Menu or not
Show Hitcount NA True or False Dictates whether system displays hitcount or not
