In Clear-Site, a
ticker is just like a news ticker that you would see on TV news
stations. A ticker is essentially a strip of text traveling from
right to left on top of the screen. You can use it to
communicate new information as it should stand out on your page.
In Clear-Site, you
may add a ticker to your homepage or any of your base pages if
you choose to use any. See here
